Ok, perhaps that was a bit dramatic, but its been quite a wait.

I rescued a 2003 FJR from a salvage auction in Seattle back in July. I posted about this in the new members section when it happened, and received great response from the folks here.

Since then, I've been chomping at the bit to get on this bike! Between the waiting/ordering/$ for parts and the mechanics schedule, my FJR wasn't available until this Saturday.

The family and I got together to try to figure out a good name for the bike. Here's what we had to consider:

It was revived back from the dead!

It is was brought back to life using the parts of 7 other dead FJR's

It looks a bit like a patchwork quilt (at least for now).

And it was ready the weekend before Halloween!

Therefore...

FrankenFeeJeer!!

I tried posting photos but I was told that I was "not allowed to use that image extension on this board."

Anyhoo, I look forward to meeting some of yous folks.

Thanks!

Brian

Congrats on the patchwork quilt  ... Photo's ?? You were using a hosting site like Photobucket to post them ? .. Be interesting to see them.

Using Picasa web albums. I have posted several hundred photos to other forums I've been associated with and haven't had any trouble. I'll keep working on it!!

That bike looks fine! :dribble:

Story follows;

I have a "Canuck" friend who rode a 20+ year old Kawasaki Concours C-1 nearly 100K. We, in my riders circle affectionately call him "Multi-Colored Ken". We would rendezvois with him occasionally and identify that he had found a new (different colored) body part for his (Ahem  ) vintage ride. He finally, got all the parts from his 1990 vintage Connie together in the same color, sold it for nearly 3K (Canadian) and now rides a Buell  Go Figure?

So, you are golden! :clapping: Ride it till the wheels are ground off. :yahoo:

I just got off my 1980 Suzuki GS1000G. Now that I think about, it had a couple assorted panels too!!

Hope to have it somewhat coordinated this spring. This winter, i'm just going to ride!
