Well, not really. But this post is about beer...

Microbrews. I like to drink them sometimes but mostly I drink Coors. But when I go to parties, etc with Coors people act like I'm either cheap or "uncouth". I can afford all the micros I'd like, but really the bitter-*** taste of most of them is what I don't like.

Am I uncouth? :(

You ride the classiest bike around. Just switch to IceHouse and GQ will want to put you on the cover. :drinks:

If you drink beer, you are uncouth. Period.

I am uncouth. Period.

I have a riding buddy who likes his Coors light. In fact, I like his Coors light. I gave him a refrigerator to keep his Coors Light in. In the 16 gallon keg. Nice little addition to his play room. Nothing like having a draft right there when you want one. Even if it is light beer.

Having said that, I'll bet I haven't consumed a case of beer over the past year. 2 beers and I'm about gone. ZZzzzz...

If I was worried about what people thought of me, I wouldn't be here. I would sell my FJR and get another Harley. Oh, wait, they are uncouth, too. Ok, a BMW. No, wait, they are snobs. Well, OK, I'll just stop riding all together so people don't think I'm an *****. And I should stop flying too.

Screw 'em!

You just need to find a lower class of people to hang out with Jetmaker ! Pretty much any of the FJR forums is a good place to look though you've hit the mother lode here ! :drinks:

Hey, what's up? You can't announce that you're buying the next round and then walk out. I think that you should follow up on your offer and buy everyone a cold Islander ale at the Jolly Rodger in Ballard. I can be there in 30 minutes..,

I'm a Bitters man myself...a good India Pale Ale is just right. To get the bitter-*** after-taste out of your mouth, just have another... :drinks:

I guess i'm uncouth too. The New Belguim Brewing Company makes a great Amber Ale Called Fat Tire. Not really a micro but it is great stuff.

If you want a true micro brew call me and you can sample some of my home-brew.

Yes you can brew quality beer at home.Larry

Q: Why is drinking Coors Light like making love in a canoe...

A: Because they're both ******* close to water.

:D :D :D

I just found Michelob Bock, it's a dark lager; good taste without going too far. To each his own but as I get older (I guess I'm losing some of my taste) I need a little heavy flavour in my brew. :coolio:

Have you ever tried a porter? If not, I would recommend Deschutes Black Butte Porter. You can also mix it with a lager for a tasty black 'n tan.

Low budget = Carling's Black Label

Regular budget = Budwieser

Splurge / big budget = Guiness, Sierra Neveda Pale Ale, Sam Adams.

What can I say? I like beer.

I drink coors light because i like the taste when its nearly frozen (and kept cold, DONT LET IT SIT OUT!)

I also drink it because i am 27 and still think i am in college and tend to drink 10+ beverages when things get rowdy and everything else gives me a wicked case of the beer ***** the next day. Coors Light is tolerable in this regard.

Since its so watery, it doesnt cause the dehyrated brain-shrink headache as bad either.

i think most mircobrews taste like a science project gone bad - same for those trendy restauraunts that brew their own beer - i always dread when we head out to one of those places. i am sure there are some good ones out there- i just dont feel like going through the cost and the trouble of finding the good ones. not to mention the next batch isn't always going to taste the same as the last one.

Drink what you like to drink. Do you like red wine with fish? Go for it! Keystone Light instead of Prince Yuppie Pale Cream Custom Bitter Ale? Drink the Keystone.

**** 'em if they can't take a joke. :bleh:

Guess that means I'm uncouth, too. Can we get t-shirts?

I will never drink anything that COORS puts out. They are a HUGE contributor to the Sierra Club.....yeah the same club that wants to lock-up all the PUBLIC LANDS that are to be enjoyed by everyone  F*CK them SIERRA CLUB *******S....EARTH FIRST AND ANY OTHER ECO-TERRORIST GROUP GO BLOW YOUR BRAINS OUT!!!!! :***: :russian:

yes i am emotional about this :D
