FYI for those with mysterious fuel system problems...

About 6 weeks ago I was doing numerous farkle installations on my bike including and Tanji fuel cell among other things. I had major starting and later running problems after reassembling everything. I disassembled and reassembled the fuel pump, fuel tank, etc. several times It finally started but ran like crap.

I took it to a dealer the other day and the word is the pressure regulator is fried with only 20psi of fuel pressure and problems on the vacuum end too. I have about 1,000 miles on the bike and thought it very unusual for it to fail this early. I can't really imagine what I could have done to toast it, but what the heck it's under warranty!

if it is made by man it will break, some break sooner than others :dribble:

I stand corrected.

I'm picking up the bike tomorrow from the dealer and it turns out the pressure regulator was not the problem--it was the fuel pump.

For any of you tinkerers that choose to disassemble this puppy, be careful! It's fragile!!!! I learned the hard way.
