Could please someone tell me from where i can download the Wally's map?

The M409-WK008 is the original Wally's map?Is this the correct that i have?

Or have you a link that i can download it?

Thanks in advance!

The original "Wally Smoothness Map" is for 1st gens. It is map number M409-MF008.djm

I have a copy of it hosted here

Thanks for the info!

I read in the link, that he tell before you install the map has a step firstly..you must set the throttle position firstly.

Is this correct?Did you this step?

Setting the throttle is the first step after installing a PC3.

This is merely letting the PC3 know where is 0% (idle) throttle and where is 100%

This doesn't have to be redone to load a new map ;)

Thank you all for the info!

Ps.

The Powercommander that i have isn't brand new.
I bought it from a member here, with a professionally map installed in.If this map will do not work well i will change it,i know about that..But I must do this job with the throttle setting? This job is only for a brand new Powercommander?
Or is already ok for a used? This Powercommander was worked fine in his bike.

Yes you will need to do the zero throttle check to set it for your machine. It won't affect the map just gives the PCIII the correct reference point for zero.

You may want to plug your laptop in to the unit so you can download the map and have it backed up. It also lets you look at the settings table to see where it is making changes. Only takes a few seconds to download.

One really important thing about the PC III is to make sure you have a solid ground. If it gets loose, you will get intermittent problems with the bike running or in some cases it would not run at all. I would recommend adding more wore to the ground wire (soldering them together in addition to a mechanical connector) and solidly connecting to the negative terminal on the battery. Just eliminates any ground issues and you know it has a good path bak to the battery.

+1 - On doing the throttle position cal on the PCIII. Takes literally seconds, and it actually does learn both the zero position and the full throttle position so that it can interpolate all of the various positions between.

And I would encourage you to definitely load the PCIII software on a laptop or netbook and download the current custom map off of the PCIII and save it somewhere for safekeeping before pressing any other tuning buttons or changing the map at all. You may find (like I have) that the Wally Smoothness Map doesn't go far enough to get rid of all the stock lean fueling issues and that custom map may work better for you.

I happen to run a custom map on my '05 for the past few years now that was sent to me by another '05 owner that had his bike tuned on a dyno. It runs considerably smoother on that map than any of the DynoTune supplied or Wally maps, at the expense of a few mpgs.

You are free to try it yourself if you like as I have that one hosted also at this link : Ryan_Schnitz_05_FJR_Basic

FYI... Gen 2 maps will not work well on a Gen 1. The base ECU maps are too different. That's why it is important to differentiate which Gen bike the maps are made for.

If I recall correctly, Wally smoothness maps were his interpretation of a gen I map that he converted to work for Gen II's. I forget which gen I map he was using for his base.

I have already downloaded the Wally's M409-MF008.djm where ionbeam and Fred W suggest..

If this map does not works well i will try the European map M409-501.I will try and the three maps,The Wally's,the European and the map that was installed in the Powercommander when i bought it.The last map is especially made for 1000 ft altitude and i live in the same altitude..Ι am curious which one of the three will works well..
