I have a wr250f and just learned of the need to release the occasional air from the forks, after transporting or even a good race day.

Do street bikes or the fjr in particular have this?

Not sure if this is what you are asking about, but bikes that have Shrader (sp?) valves on the fork tubes and you would adjust the front suspension by adding or releasing a bit of air pressure. That is not a feature of the FJR.

Have you been watching the RaceTech vids? Try removing the rebound damper adjustment (screw). That's what they show. Haven't done mine yet, so I can't answer for sure.

Sparky-

Nope, this is a afeature of off-road bikes and high end forks only. My YZF250 has these as well (put those motion pro bleeders on for one touch bleeding-they are the schittz!)

It's not a shraeder valve to inflate the forks, just a screw with an o-ring to bleed pressure.

No need to worry about this on the FJR. I have disassembled the forks twice and never found any hissing upon loosening the fork cap. These don't seem to build pressure like an off-road bike does.
