I'm checking to see if anyone is using a front fork lift / stand. I have one made by Heindl. The problem is when the bike is up on the centerstand and you lift the front, the rear tire touches, lifts the bike up off of the centerstand and it wants to tip over. I know that I can use straps to hold it, but I was wondering if anyone has found a front stand that will work on the FJR without raising it so high that the rear tire touches.

I saw a picture on the FJR tech site, it shows a pit bull sport bike front stand, but the picture doesn't show the back of the bike and if it had to be held or strapped down.

If your rear tire touches such that you're risking tipover....then either you have a sag issue with your rear suspension or the Heindl is lifting up too much.

I don't have any stand and jack up the header and my rear tire just barely touches....giving me enough room to remove the front wheel without having to remove the fender.

I have the DMP S-Spec Track Stands of which only the front works on the FJR but when it's up and the bike is on it's center stand, I have no issue with the rear tire touching. There's plenty of clearance.

I'll check out the DMP S-Spec Track Stands. This type of stand will work fine as long as it doesn't lift the front too much. The one I have does lift it too high.

Thanks

I have found that a floor jack under the head pipes (with a wooden block as a pad) in conjunction with the center stand gets the front end off the ground.
