I notice when I put my front wheel up on the pit bull stand, I notice that the wheel doesn't spin freely like it does on our RT or KLR.

Is that normal?

It almost feels like something is dragging but I don't see anything.

Non-ABS model if that makes a difference.

Could be the pads sticking a little, that shouldn't be a problem.

Try spreading the pads away from the disks and spinning the wheel, if it still does it it could be a bearing going bad.

There always some brake drag. It shouldn't be excessive.

:eek:fftopic:

In the items for sale a couple of guys had stock cans for sale.

Thanks....I got some!

What are the symptoms of a wheel bearing going bad?

Is that easy to replace?

Bad bearings will be harder to turn, feel rough when your spinning the wheel, make noise and/or you will get side to side play in the wheel depending on how bad they are.

Eay to replace. Pull the front wheel, tap the old bearings out, tap the new ones in and you done.

That's exactly my problem then. Thanks!

It feels windy when I ride all of the time.

Is 29K miles typical for bearings to wear out?

Looking at the service manual, is the bearing puller tool necessary?

If so, where can I get one and how much $$$?

You can usally tap it out from the other side with a long skinny punch, If not any good auto parts place or tool wherehouse will have a puller for not too much $.
