Let me do some checking, I work with a guy that lives in Frostburg.

The guy I work with said that Frostburg has an OLD hotel called the Failingers Hotel Gunter- 301-689-6511. Their web site. This is in downtown but is OLD. Would need to walk around town for eats and drinks.

Also there is a Hampton Inn at exit 34 on I68 at Frostburg (no bar or restaraunt) and also a Best Western at Lavale, Md. 301-729-3300 (has nice bar and restaraunt) thats about 6 miles East of Frostburg.

Hope this helps you, PM me if I can help any more.

Is there some special reason that Frostburg is the destination? I'm only askin' on account of I've been there.

I stayed at the Days Inn directly next to the Hampton Inn in Frostburg on the way down to EOM. Main Street is only about 1/2 mile away from there. No offense to anyone living in Frostburg but I don't see it as much of a destination unless I'm missing something. The usual college town with chain fast food restaurants, a beverage store with cheap beer, and a bunch of small stores.

Maybe you can pick up my Camelbak that I left in the hotel refrigerator while your there....room 146.

It's still an industrial old mining town, outside of the college area.

Edge of college motels, as others suggested?

Check for off-season rentals near Deep Creek Lake, maybe 35 minutes west?

That or hit one of the gazzillion bed & breakfast places around Frostburg?

Up the road to one of the other ski resorts?

Personally, I'd just ride till I saw something looking comfy as it's the off-season for the summer, the leaves, and winter.
