I likely need a fuel pump for a 95 Maxima. The car's been sitting idle for six years. There wasn't enough fuel in the tank to cover the pump body. It won't turn, probably jammed from corrosion, etc.

What's my best low cost option for buying a working pump? It appears very generic, like the same pump works in a lot of different vehicles.

I know this isn't the proper forum but I thought someone here could offer good advice.

I'll be submerging the pump in fresh fuel overnight hoping it might loosen up -- not likely though.

After it sits in some fuel... with someone trying to turn the starter, try Tapping the Tank/Pump area and see if it will break loose.

Also you may want to look at the Fuel Pump Relay and Fuse(s).

Good Luck with the fix...
