I got nothin' here...
donaldb, this is the fjrforum, your common sense has no place here.
Gulag, you dumped the FJR. I just wonder why, what you replaced it with, and why you would stay with this forum?Your dealer may have bought it back but Yamaha failed to uphold it's warranty causing you a hassle.Instead of warranty execution,Yamaha gave you intentional bullsh*t.I'd be pissed too. I just sold my 06' to get a different,non-yammy bike. Your experience will make me think long and hard about buying another Yammy. Only had one in 30 years.Good luck.
Er...um...Because the guy gave me the money back and lost out on the deal. I don't see that maligning him on here would be good manners. It is Yamaha themselves who let both me and the dealer down.Did you sign a non-disclosure? Are the Euro-netcops outside your door? Or are you simply telling us a ******** story? In the Uk, obviously I can't give the dealers name on here.
How do you see that as maligning your dealer? The way I (and others who have stated similarly) see it, your dealer was a stand-up guy who did the right thing. To publicize his/her name would be a service to the Yamaha-buying public.Er...um...Because the guy gave me the money back and lost out on the deal. Smacks of Yamaha/dealer tradational head in the sand routine. Dealer became a straight shooter though. And TWN, you've changed, or have you got a real TWN(Twin)....nice party hat. PM. <><

The only way anybody will get my 06, is to pry it from my dead clammy hand's - I love this bike, I would have made the dealer come up with another one
I probably would, just still pissed off. Might buy an 05.Eh, I'd just buy another one & forget about it.
And I thought I was the only one. Refreshing to hear someone like me, against the onslaught of national vaginization brought on by the ambulance chasing shylocks.Dude, I have no respect for thought processes like these. Running to your lawyers is only propagating our societal litigious tendencies, which in net effect serve nobody other than the lawyers themselves. You may think it would be cool to sue someone, but keep in mind that someone will be in line to sue you back. However if Yamaha decide to announce a recall I will be there with my lawyers. All the details of what has happened over the last 2 months has been carefully documented.
You have no case. There was no negligence. You have no loss. You have no permament injuries. Your vendor made good on refunding your purchase. Face it, you've got nothing, other than some hope for attention by screaming for your lawyers. In the end, you'll get less attention as a result.
