He wrote all that from a phone ??? I was going to give him lifelong wisdom points for surviving but I think he has a ways to go before they're gonna kick in . <_<

Don't really see how it was funny??? The guy barely got away with his life and really no fault of his own. Yea, he should have been wearing gear and let that be a lesson.

I get people who don't see me even in my 7000lb Dodge Ram and almost run me off the road. On a motorcycle it has happen to me also, it is extremely scarey as you know you have no where to go and you are going to lose. The fact he could even get it back on the road after something like that shows he had some skill.

Look at some of the riders on this forum who have gone down just on gravel being on the road much less being completely run off it.

I have a sick sense of humor but this wasn't funny. The U-Haul driver will probably never be found and gets away with it...

Looking at this in a sober manner, I see your point. However, there is a reason that slapstick humor is successful and this story was certainly akin to slapstick; just when you thought it was about to end, the more incredible next thing happened. I found it amusing to read. I also would string the Uhaul driver up by fingers and let them hang there in the wind.

I can see your point of it getting worse and worse the more into the story he went. To see him come out unharmed I guess it was kind of funny in that respect...

I'm calling BS on that story. Sorry don't buy it. 89 Mph and the kid bails in cutoffs?

If it really happened -- i feel sorry,

butt it seems like a contrived story and +1 XLR8.

Dragging the cans? on an R1? not sure about that one.... if it' new they're tucked so far under the seat or if it's old, you're endo'd prior to hitting the pipe. and pretty detailed info for an adrenaline pumped few seconds.

if it's real -- sorry, if it's fake -- good imagination, but poor grammer.

The story should continue...

after I healed,

I went to pickup my bike from the shop, and look what they installed for me on my R1

+1. BS. Nobody EVER recalls that level of detail in a post-collision statement. The guy may have had a get-off but then he decided to go for an award in the fiction caregory. I did a superman impression off my old SRX 600 years ago when I started riding. All that I am sure that happened was that I was screaming the world's loudest "Fuuuuuck!" which was followed by a very hard road which was then followed by a very soft (relatively speaking) ditch. The only thing after that was yelling to my buddy to shut it off. It seemed like slow-motion at the time but that's all that I can clearly recall. So, again, I call BS on this one boys.

John.
