Hello, Coming to you from Mid Michigan. I am likely going to buy and FJR next week. I ride and 07 FZ-1 I bought new and have put 65,000 miles on it and I LOVE it. Its time for CRUISE! Also a smidgen more comfort.

Is it really true they are supposed to come with bags in the saddlebags?

Thanks.

Welcome!  First I'm hearing about bags not being included, at least here in NA.  Europe that's true I believe but hope they didn't start that here.  Also assuming you're talking about a new bike.  Anything used should definitely include them otherwise I'd suspect someone was selling them separately for extra cash.

What year are you buying? Obviously a 13 or newer, I just want to know so I can know whether to be jealous or not. Oh heck, if it's a Gen. 3 I will be jealous anyway. Welcome to the sandbox.

Congrats!  You did indeed get the fastest color ever built!!!
Sorta...  The blue is the faster color for sure, but not the matte stuff.  It's not slick enough and gets slowed down by the wind, turbulence and other technical stuff i dont know about.  The cobalt blue is a smidge faster.

I too had a '07 FZ1 since new and had it for over 10 years, 6 trackdays and almost 25k miles.  Great bike but misses on the smoothness and refinement of the FJR.  Sold the FZ, occasionally miss its power but really like the FJR for what it is.  Enjoy yours!

Ghostbusters had a show where the  golf ball dimpled car actually moved through the wind more easily and got better mileage than the smooth car.  MATTE blue is the fastest.   :D :D :D

Former Gen 2 FZ1 owner here. Miss mine. Don't miss not having all the modern features I now prefer.

Looking at finally getting into a (2020) FJR myself.
