I have a zumo 550 that is in perfect condition. I was looking at the 595 just for things like spotify, TPS, stereo music, the phone interface. I have all of my updated maps on an SD card in the 550 so there isn't any issue there. I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on this. In the end I use the phone for music which covers the spotify and much more. i can get tire pressure in another package. In the end I really only use the 550 as a safety net to a cell coverage issue. i think i just talked myself out of spending $499. Oh well time to go shop for a new pistol - hey i have $499 extra dollars now.

I hate my 595 but don't want to take a beating on it to sell it.

When paired with my phone, and 595 to Sena 10S, sometimes I can get a phone call, some times I can't. The music I have on the SD card through MP3 player will not broadcast to the Sena.

The routes change when I lay them out in basecamp then transfer to 595, no telling what route the 595 will change the route to. Some of the other apps on the 595 are buggy or don't work.

I just wish I had kept my 660, it did what I wanted it to.

To get around some of the problems, I have synced the 595 to my 10s, synced my LG 7 to the 10s and the SM10 transmitter to the 10S to get the radar detector warning. I haven't tried it on the road yet, but in the house the mp3 worked with the sena, the phone worked too. It was just nice to see who is call on the 595, but doesn't matter if you can't hear them or them you.

Sounds like a normal Garmin experience.

They are very inconsistent at pairing up with anything.

Thanks for the info Sapest, I added a 595LM to my set up.

I was going to buy the 396, but then realized there is no audio out jack. No problem if your bluetooth connection is always active and you have a bluetooth helmet communicator.

The 595LM is nice and has an audio out jack, but the price is still up there. It also has audio in, for perhaps XM radio.

I use my audio in jack in my 665 for my Escort radar detector.

Bump for even better 595 price in Canada, see first post.

Pretty good price. I wonder if it is new or refurb?I get suspicious when Garmin drops prices. Either they have taken a huge hit due to competition from cellphones or they are about to release their latest and greatest whiz-bang GPS that will render everything else obsolete. (I hope they continue to support the 595 - it may turn out to be the last generation of MC GPS.)

Edit - the new listing you added is for the 590 LM, not the 595 LM (590 is a discontinued model)

Missed the 590, thx for catching that. I knew it was too good to be true.

I suspect the contracts that Garmin has with various m/c OEMs will dictate its lifespan more than retail sales will.

It may well be the last of its type.
