What I have found to be a big help is using the short cut keys for manipulating the map, for zoom and pan etc.

It is not the most intuitive software program.

I hated it at first; but now I love it. I love the feature where you can just click at a point on your route, then drag it out to a different road (always something more twisty I'd rather do) and the program reroutes to my new road without me having to put a waypoint or anything. It has it's flaws, but I wind up using Streets & Trips, AND Street Atlas, AND mapsource to completely plan a trip, because all of them have their drawbacks.

Yeah. I didn't know about that little trick until somebody showed that to me this past weekend. That will definitely make things better.

Not familiar with that part about clicking at point in your route,then dragging to different road..what tool do you use to do that? I've tried with all the little tool icons at the top, cant move the points in route.
