Garmin Street pilot mount for the 06

Has anyone tried this mount for the 06? I did a search but could not find one that mentioned fitting the 06.

If you can fit a stem stand or RAM mount on your bike, the Touratech mount should attach to that. I have the small locking one but haven't put it on the bike yet. Couple of things to be aware of - the cover for the StreetPilot cannot be put on the unit when it's in the mount (unlike the Garmin mount), and if you get a shade, you apparently will have to do a little surgery to make it work with the mount (but doesn't sound like a big deal). The other thing I found somewhat annoying was the lack of any padding on the bottom of the mount. If you move the GPS to different vehicles, it's liable to get a little scuffed up. I fixed that problem with a $.97 black foam sticky sheet and X-Acto from the local craft store.

The one you want is the smaller one - 065-0066 ($115.70). I just measured mine, and it's 4 1/8" wide at the widest part (the base).

Now all I have to do is find a mount that will attach to the 06 bars.
