Garuld needs to start making these most coolio hiway peg/slider combo.

Pretty easy stuff IF you have machining capabilities.

The washer 'stack' thickness determines peg location when tight. A bit of a guessing game but manageable.

The head of the cap screw is drilled and tapped to allow peg threading.

Like this.

For me, this location is perfect! It allows the calf and quad muscles to be exercised, they don't drag, and the reach is perfect to hook boot heel just past slider.

What you say, Sir Garuld?

It seems like it defeats the purpose of the Slider but if it feels good do it. These days it's the simple pleasures.

Way too high imho.
Perhaps, if only that peg was used. I run a lower set too. So hi, med, regular pegs, pillion pegs for maximum comfort.

The slider is useless anyway. All it will do is break the frame tang causing you replace the frame. :)

Well you've replaced every other part of the bike so why not the frame.

I tried something similar a ways back with my '04. Used cut pieces of PVC pipe that fit nicely into the slider ends. Capped them, sprayed some black paint and then put a little friction tape on the end that went into the slider. They held nicely and I could easily remove them at will. Didn't find them too high but the shape of the fairing always bothered my calf.

I had a pair on my 06, sold them as they were too high to be comfortable for any length of time over 45 seconds. The sliders aren’t going to slide too well either.

I've had a similar set on my 07 for most of it's 135,000 miles and love them. A guy on the forum (Leo something or other) used to make some that slipped into the slider and were held with a small screw through the bottom of the slider. The peg part was Harley Davidson branded until I carefully cut the offending name off with a razor blade, so it did slow down my bike some until my fix.

I can just hang my legs over them with the calf resting on the peg or I can put my feet on them and then rest my elbows on my legs. Neither position is comfortable for an extended period, but the important thing is having the ability to stretch my legs and vary my body position periodically.
