I called Geico a month or so back about possible discounts. One discount was a $100 discount if I was a motorcycle safety instructor. I really enjoy teaching scuba and CPR why not teach my other passion as well. So, I contacted the local college that teaches the safety course about becoming an instructor. They seemed happy I was interested. I was put in touch with Nevada DMV about taking the class. I spent $100 to take the class. I will save $100 on my insurance (per year) and make $285 to $300 per weekend when I teach a MSF class.
I start my classes April 20th and will be done May 20th. We only meet three weekends.
Here is the letter I just got from Nevada DMV.

Hello all,
Staff has reviewed all the applications for the upcoming motorcycle RiderCoach Preparation Course, and your application has been approved!! We have mailed out study materials to your home address. When it arrives, do not let it sit unopened until just before the course begins.
Inside the cover of the RiderCoach Guide is a “pre-course assignment.” Experience has shown that completing this assignment takes about 30 hours. The assignment must be turned in on the very first day of the course.
If you need any help, please don’t hesitate to call or send a message.
