Gen 1 Centerstand

Anyone have a center stand from a gen 1 they would be willing to part with cheap or for shipping? Worn out my third one now.

Gen II center stands will work also. You DON'T want another 03 center stand. They tend to collapse. DAMHIK

Like Griff posted above they tend to rust out and collapse. I had the last one rewelded but it isn't quite straight and so it is grinding on left hand corners. Not a good situation.

Agreed! Grinding hard parts is undesirable.

Y'all must be getting road salt and other cold-climate **** up in there to rust 'em out. We just get rain and red clay, which leaves a similar orange coloration .........

Although I didn't have a problem with mine, didn't tend to ride in the snow much up this way..... lots of salt on the roads tends to get everything rusty to point of disintegration.

No, I think the problem was actually a fabrication problem. There was a gusset missing from the 03 center stands that help distribute the load when you put it on the stand. Yammy corrected it on the 04s and up and I know they replaced some 03s under warranty - hopefully with the new center stand version.
