I have recently learned about the difference between the Gen3 2013-2015 U.S. model & the Canadian model FJR with regards to the unit option in the display indicated in owners manual pages below.
I am interested in knowing what options are available in other parts of the world. It seems odd to me that the U.S. bike has an option for KLMPH/MPH when they don't use KLM's but likely made this an option because it borders Canada. However the Canadian Guru's were unable to determine the Canadian riders venture south to ride & are unable to do the same. I know you can swap the settings on a GPS or on a phone to accomplish this but it seems silly to me and almost illegal to not know what speed you are going with regards to posted speed limits in a bordering country.
Every other vehicle I have seen has had an option to convert MPH/KLMPH, or both were indicated on the analog speedo for reference.
Side note:The 2016 Canadian models now have the option.
