Gen I Gen II

I am new to the Forum with my 07 FJR. What is meant by Gen I and Gen II. Are the models 00-05 Gen I and 06 to 07 Gen II?

Actually, it's 2002-2005 (but the 2003 is the first in the US) for Gen 1. Gen II is 2006-2008. Gen III is due, hopefully, in 2010.

Oh, and while we're on it, Gen X are supposed to be slackers!
