Gen II Recall

I can't believe that I didn't read about this recall here first. The letter explains the repair as "installing an additional wire sub-lead", or if the ground joint connector has already been damaged from overheating, will install a new main wire harness to address the ground joint connector of the wire harness that may overheat and become deformed.

Wowzer! Part of the problem may be the terminology. This is what the Spider Bite is all about and the recent recall bulletins and recall notices are about. Boy, there has been a ton of info about the weak, failing grounding system. Simply read the recent recall and spider bite posts.
