I had some PM's about my Genmar install and how I like them. Thought I should wait a few days till I put a weekend on them and I did so here it is.

Look good, I saw pictures before I put them on and thought that they would stick out a bit but I was wrong, they blend in fine and do not stick out at all.

Allow use of the 3 standard positions of front to rear.

Raise the bars 1 inch.

As for my opinion I like them very much for the money and they work just fine for me. We ran 300 miles in a shot on back roads and instate on the way up to Georgia and again coming home with an even mix and they are a big improvement over stock bars. I needed to get up a bit so that my spine had a little concave curve to it as opposed to riding hunchbacked, they worked for that. Now if I wanted to blow a little money I would buy the pull back plate too, they work together, but I don't see the need just the want. Plus I am really trying to work on my riding stance and pulling back would kind of screw it up. Anyway I rate them 100% they do exactly what is advertised.

Bob,

We have considered the same thing. My wife had Heli-Bars on her ST1300 and liked them. They were difficult (time wise) to put on, but worked fine. However, I did not find Heli to be really custormer friendly (another topic), so I don't plan to order from them again.

How tall are you? Deany (my wife) is 5'7" and really wants to set more upright. At about 6', I would like that too.

Regarding the "pull back plate". Is that a Gen-Mar product too? Didn't see it.

Gen-Mar is about 200 miles from us. May ride down there and check out the business.

Thanks for the info.

The pullback plate is by Heli and is good for 1.5 inches.
