It's 8:03 and no updates on your SPOT. You slacker!

PS - Sorry I couldn't make this ride. I just woke up and haven't even got out of bed yet. Late night last night..

Just checked the spot track...nice loop Bug!
Did you drag OM along with you too?

Never did see OM, now that he is married it takes him longer to get out the door. Must have been about 10 minutes behind me the whole day. Yesterday was a 'why we ride" kind of day. I only had a camera in the top case so pictures were very few which is too bad as it was a wonderful day. The northern desert is very green right now and some of the cloud formations below Susanville were awesome.

Pyramid Lake

The rock formations from Pyramid lake and north are a trip. Most were formed underwater, lava formations with lots of air bubbles to give them a unique look.

Plenty of green in the cow pastures in Eagleville.

No stop in Alturas is complete without checking on the antler pile.

Lots of dust at Honey lake (dry lake)

Cool clouds, picked a bad day to quit doing acid

On a side note I did stop for breakfast at Bruno's Country Club in Gerlach. Nothing has changed and it's still for sale. Bruno was there asleep in a chair across from the bar. He must be into his 90's by now and was just a little old man sleeping with a blanket over his legs. I've had some interesting conversations with him years ago when we hauled the dirt bikes up there to ride the Black Rock Desert.

Is there ever a good day to quit, DougieBear?

Very nice photos, old man.

Sorry I couldn't make it. I was at Mass all day.

...Was it cold up there?
It was a bit nippley in Truckee at 8 am....30 degrees. Got up to the low 60's for a short time by noon then back into the 50's. Perfect riding weather!
