So I go to clean the feej today and rran into a first for me. I can't get the bug guts off the windscreen.

I use the honda spray cleaner and it usually takes em right off but not this time

Is there some trick to get them off the cee baileys shields?

Thanks :)

Put some Hydrogen Peroxide (from drug store) at direct strength, into a spray head bottle and mist the shield real good. You should see the bugs start to foam as they dissolve, then wipe 'em off.

Or, of you're lazy like me, get a jug of hot water, throw in a couple of dryer sheets, (Bounce) and wipe 'em down. Easy, easy, easy.

..it's worked for me for ~20 years. I was told H.P. dissolves protein = bugs.

Kasey

For dried on bugs I get an old bath towel, soak it in water and put it on the shield for 20 minutes or so. That loosens up most of the goo so it can be easily wiped off. Then I use Plexus to polish it up.

Is this Plexus of which you speak available in any stores, or is it something that has to be ordered online? I Googled it, and only came up with online sites to order it.

I have seen it for sale locally at most of the motorcycle shops in the Phoenix area.

Lemon Pledge works good for me.

Spray it on thick, and let it soak in. It gets bugs off pretty easily. It shines the shield up pretty good, smells good, and will help make it so bugs will wipe off easier the next time as well.

You could get a hot we towel, put on the shield, let it sit for 30 minutes, and the bugs will practically fall off.

That what I use , when the bike comes in covered in summer bugs , I thoroughly wet a hand towel and throw it over the front of the bike then the bugs then rinse off the next day.

A good coat of silicon or wax polish helps the buggers not to stick so much

Sandpaper works good but there is a side effect to that.... cant remember what it was though????

Do you guys have water over there????

I never use anything else for alight clean..... a wash I use a truck strength wash and rise thoroughly.
