Give Marty 'Oface' a Get-outta-jail Card? (Poll)

It's now been over a Year since Marty (Oface) has been banned from this board (at least from posting). Yes, he can lurk and even see your posts but he can't participate.

Marty's banning all stemmed from when this Forum was in Lag (slow may be too fast of word) Mode. Yes, he bitched and griped, BUT! he also opened his door to help!. I also got involved with this thread, and through my displayed frustration, I received a week in the clink. Marty 'Oface' is still serving his sentence! WTF?. I say enough is enough, time to set this jailbird free. So, if this forum is Democratic enough to take in consideration the peoples vote? ....Time will tell I guess?

My final representation of 'Oface' would be that he is an asset to this community, a truly great guy in person and a wizard in Garmin's Basecamp software.

It's simple... give the guy a chance to prove he can behave... he acts up again, pull the plug once and for all. By the way, I don't remember the guy or the banning part, so I am just hearing one side of the story through this post.

We want regular drug tests, and you have to hold the cup to make sure he doesn't cheat.

I met Marty several times now and always found him to be friendly, helpful, intelligent, and direct. Marty will call a spade a spade and if you don't like it.....too bad. Holding back, letting things get pent up inside, and always towing the line is not his style. I respect qualities like that in people, you know where they stand right away.

I personally am not aware of the full list of infractions Marty committed here. Where a moderator draws the line in their sandbox, is outside my purview, but I would like to see Marty back.

And as long as we're on the subject of saying what we think, if I ever do anything to get banned, I won't want to come back. Don't get me wrong; I'm not siding with anyone one way or the other. But if the owners of a site don't want me on it for whatever reason, I don't want to be there.

That is funny Alan... boxer shorts & boots @ breakfast is accurate. The look on Iris's face when she saw him was priceless. Marty seems like a good guy. Talked with him a couple of times this past weekend. I've always believed in 2nd chances... but I also agree with the person that said... if the management doesn't want me here, I have no urge to be here.

I would gladly stand next to Marty when he's wearing his Polka Dot Boxers and riding boots. In fact I did just that this past Sunday when we entered a WV Cracker Barrel at high noon during the "after Sunday Church" dinner crowd. I enjoyed observing the crowd's reaction to this boxer short wearer. I could see the visual equivalent of a GASP on a several women's faces.

I'd stand for Marty anywhere...but maybe my vote doesn't count for much.
