Wife and I installed the Givi V46 and mount last night. Pretty straightforward proceedure unless you drop one of the spacers down inside the tail and have to take off the tupperware on the tail and of course part of the side. Everything fit and it seems real secure (doesn't rock as I've seen some say here), I think Lorie will feel secure back there and I won't have to worry as much about leaving her behind somewhere!

Question - Part #14 is listed as an anti-theft device on the parts list, but there isn't any mention of it in the instructions. It's a small plastic "box" open at one end. It fits into the space underneath the rear latch on the plastic mount. I thought the metal frame mount would hold it in, but no such luck. Anybody know where this thing goes

Thanks!

Howdy,

The "anti-theft" device goes just where you say it fits. It should snap into place on the underside of the mounting plate (the portion below the tab/latch that secures the case lock to the mounting plate). Does that make any sense?

Not that it matters much, but the "anti-theft" device for my rack snapped into place with no problems.

Ride Safe!

Howdy back at ya. I'll give it another try - maybe I just need to shove harder - at least that's what my wife says! Thanks.
