I bought one with my case, but never installed it. Didn't want to drill through the top of the case.

I installed one on my Givi box. I haven't yet needed the storage space (planned for tent & bedroll) but it makes a great place to set a helmet or gloves from time to time. Also, haven't noticed any negative behavior.

Maybe you could buy Woodstock's rack.

Have run with mine since '04. It's proven quite useful as a tent carrier.
