Anyone getting any riding in recently?

Or are we all wimps except Saread (the only guy to ride to the motorcycle show)?

I consider myself a hard core rider by riding year 'round in everthing from rain to heat to bitter cold, but the current conditions have humbled me. I live on a 17% grade, shady private road that doesn't thaw very well once it's iced over. :skull: Even my parking lot at work is a sheet of ice. :nhl: I suppose I'll have to give up on my goal of topping 20,000 miles on my 07 FJR before 2009 rolls around. As the saying goes, "If you want to make God laugh, just make plans."

Merry Christmas to everyone! :santa: and may the new year bring better riding weather!

Rode about one & half hours yesterday.

Looking for better gloves today. My winter gloves have so much padding in the palm that my heated grips are worthless.

Saw two other bikes and they were both FJR's!

I rode to work today and it was a warm 34 degrees. It's only 15 miles to work so no big deal.

I couldn't get out to a public road without training wheels. The road won't thaw for weeks.

What about your new hippo hands?

I am hoping that the ice on my street melts so that I can get some riding in. Will be nice once I get the windshield on!! Someday.....................sigh :sadsmiley02:

Check out the new First Gear TGP gloves. All of them have just leather palms, but varying levels of winter warmth on the back side. Nice quality too.

You guys that have been to my house know what the driveway lloks like with all the frozen rain we have gotten lately.

Had to park the PU at the top of the driveway so I can go to work. :( So no riding for a while for me.

It is seriously snowing right now. :( With the amount of ice on the roads before I get off this hill, riding will have to wait until the spring thaw...Which I guess is coming late next week if you can believe the talking heads. Come on 40's :coolsmiley:

I would come get ya with the trailer but that won't help. I have 4 inches at my home and it's still coming down.
Thank God, need to see some snow to justify my four wheel drive. :D
We could always head south for a few days... Did you wish Panman a Happy B-Day?

Can I hear an Amen to the four wheel drive?!! :popesmiley:

Thank God for the 4 Lo transfer case and first gear on my pickup. I could not have made it down my hill this morning if I would have had to hit the brakes. Visualize a skating rink canted to the side! :dribble:

Man it snowed pretty good today in Snoqualmie. I spent time doing practice donuts in the Mt. Si Parking lot in my old montero that we keep around for day like today, loads of fun. I highly encourage spending time getting used to snow driving by finding an empty lot and laying on the gas and practicing turns, spins, and the such.

We're snowed in. We're forced to spend time naked in our hot tub. I hate it when that happens............
