Lots of good info on making life easier on the road, Long Distance riding and some tips on rallies. It’s a pretty good read with good info for anyone who travels a lot.

Just saw the IBA # in your sig, why haven’t you got this book already? B)

'Cause I'm a rockhead and I like to learn by mistakes. Now I want to know how I SHOULD have tackled my LD rides.

It will help for sure. Finished reading it the other week now I'm going back through it slowly and taking notes and making lists of things I want to do / modify based on what I read.

Also, our very own dictator of benevolence (WC) has a couple of mentions in the book and a side bar with pic. H. Marc Lewis and many others are mentioned also.

Worth it :agent:

This particular book from Ayres is great not just from the riding info, but all the profiles of people who have paved the way for us.

Many folks, some now passed, all put in long miles to make the newbies LD entrance a lot easier, and a hell of a lot more interesting.

Fran Crane, Ron Major, Don Arthur, Gary Eagan, Warchild. Just a few names, but this book puts a lot of it into perspective.

Much recommended.

Ordered the book and recieved it yesterday. Great information on Long Distance and Tips in general. Looking forward to putting into practice some of the advice given. I wasn't able to do the run last year like I wanted, but looking forward to one this year. opt8low and myself have talked about a run together. Might be asking some other information too before we go. Thanks for the reference to the book.
