Just called Tony O. and my FJR was being assembled today in Texarkana. Driving up with my brother and driving 380 miles back to Austin on saturday...I can hardly wait. Maybe I can hit the hill country before the bluebonnets die. :)

The wait is almost over!!!!!

Congratulations! Another Texas rider... awesome. I got my '05 from Tony... you'll love the experience!

Congrats on the bike you will love it. I have an 05 with an 06 on order, should be in shortly. I used to think the FJR was increadably fast until I bought a 06 Hayabusa to quench the need for speed. Now the FJR seems more sedate but still the finest all around bike there is. Rde safe.

I too will be picking up an 06A on Saturday. The wait was terrible............33 days (Inserted just to cheese off the waiter baiters).

ScrapeApe,

Red Barchetta, definetely one of my favorite Rush songs. I hear Neil Peart is quite the motorcycle enthusiast and always has a couple of bikes with him on the road.

BTW, is that a '54 166MM?

Nice...very nice...!

Red Barchetta is an awesome go-fast song (along with "Surfin' with the Alien" by Satriani). Neil is a serious cyclist. Traveled around the world on BMW's. I guess he can afford those and has the time to do it. I wish I was as lucky...and talented. The avatar car is a 166MM Barchetta but it's a '49. Thanks.

Just arrived in Austin with my new fjr after picking it up from Tony O.

Some observations about the process:

1) Time talking with Tony about how great the bike is: < 10 minutes.

2) Time in Finance with Lisa: < 10 minutes.

2) Time taken to go over the bike with Tony: < 10 minutes.

3) Taking a pictures with the bike and Tony: < 1 minute.

All in all, I was out of Texarkana in about 30 minutes...that must be some kind of record. They really have it figured out there at Yamaha Sports Center.

I had to pick bugs out of my teeth...because I was grinning ear to ear for 380 miles...

More to come...
