A friend has found a left over 07 AE with only test ride miles, probably less than 100-200 miles. The dealer is asking $12000 + taxes and tags but no other hidden costs. He asked me, via email since he is out of town, if this a good price for an 07 without a clutch?

No I am not asking for me. I really really like my 07 :yahoo: and have no plans to change.

The msrp is something like $15,600, and then there's probably freight and doc fees typically applied, so a straight full price deal would run something over $16K most likely.

I would think that $12K would have to be viewed as a good deal, no?

Looks like a reasonable price. A dealer in MD still has a left over 06 AE with a $12700.00 price tag on it. So I would think $12k would be a good price for an 07. To bad it won't be a fast Black Cherry! :yahoo:

I paid $12,995 in December 2007 which seemed to be the best deal around. Now, a year later, I would think that he should pay no more than $12K. Make sure that it was not classified as a demo bike since that may affect warranty coverage.

Despite what the first line of the description says ("Title: 2007 YAMAHA FJR 1300 ABS, Heated grips!! "BRAND NEW!!") it's an AE model. About a month or so ago, I saw a 2007 AE on their showroom floor for $10,600, without the $200 BS prep fee. It had about 25 miles on it.

Considering that my local dealer has a 2007 AE on the floor for $13,599.99, I'd say the prices I'm seeing in this thread are pretty darn good.

$12,000 is a good deal, He will lose over $1000 by selling you that bike.

I have been trying to sell mine for $12499.00 and I dont' know if I could stomach $12,000 but i really want to get rid of the one we have here.

I do have a $200 coupon from Yamaha that I could throw in on a deal for the FJR, ....... I dont know, I might do it for that call me if the guy adds some fees, ect....

Team Motorsports in Greenbay still has 3 07AE on the floor asking $11,999. I am not affiliated in any way, I bought from them this spring and the door price was 11,999 + 550 handling, frieght, set up plus tax and title.

It seems that leftover AE's are much easier to find than leftover A's

Yamaha had an auction this spring and several Wisconsin dealers bought well below normal dealer price. Most we're 07's. I paid $10,500 plus tax (no set up or delivery fee) Look between Greenbay and Milwaukee. Good luck. Bought mine in Port Washington, WI. Dealer was a straight shooter and a pleasure to deal with. I am not associated with any Wi dealer.
