I'm running one on the front now by mistaken purchase, not sure how long it will last but feels pretty nice.............

I'm running Pilot Powers, but not the 3s, on the '08.
I thought I'd get something like maybe 1000 miles with aggressive riding, but they're at 750 now, and I think they'll make it to the 2000 - 2500 range as noted above.
They sure are fun though. Great feeling of security ... great adhesion. I am thinking seriously about keeping sport tires on the '08 and sport touring tires on the '09, and then take the bike that fits the proposed ride on any given day.
Incidentally, that does look like a great price (the link is Amazon, but the vendor is Bike Bandit).
