Mike another great ride report. As an Okie I do envy you your roads. Based on the pics you apparently have a bad case of the crabs. I suspect you know what to do to get rid of them quickly. Good luck!
Is that the cure that involves a razor, lighter fluid and an ice pick?

It was not 70 degrees in Bodega Bay in the middle of November. For Chrissakes, if anything, it was 20 below. What is it with these California natives that tell the rest of the country about 70 degree days in November. It's worse than when the camera's pulling back at the end of the Rose Parade on January 1st to show T-shirt clad youth amongst a backdrop of sunny clear mountains rising above Pasadena. Any native born Californian knows that the winters out here are far worse than anything Buffalo New York can dish out. This is all done with trick photography and a "green screen". For instance, Tyler and I did not, I repeat, did not spend the entire day riding the most beautiful roads in the Santa Cruz mountains under 64- 68 degree cloudless weather. No sir. It was freezing, with several sleet showers.

Honestly..... Old Michael and Dr. Rich may just single handedly caused another land rush to California the like of which haven't been seen since 1849. You two need to start telling the truth about California weather and stop using pictures you took last winter in Nantucket.

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. My Avatar is of a girl walking along Lake Erie in February, Not Santa Barbara at 8 AM in October.

Really. Scouts honor.

Very nice ride report boyz. And I love to stop at that place where you stopped in Bodega. Just pull the bike up, step off, walk up to the small counter, order up some crab, crab sandwich, two types of clam chowder, or deli sandwich of choice, small bottle of wine and cheese, and did I say all is fresh? And then sit down at your picnic table by your bike and watch the crab boats come in and out, or other bikes cruising by, all on a calm, sunny 70 deg. day in late Nov. Then go cruise some of the best roads ever popping over the hill to an awesome ocean view?.....Naw, its just a dream. Wake up, this can't be true......hello.....yawn.....sleeping again....PM. <>< :lazy:

The crabs and coast are great, but the photos of tree-lined communities and farms really got to me. It just looks so bucolic and peaceful. The tree-lined streets remind me of the drawings of communities in children's books that date back to the 50's and 60's, except the photos are real life!

I guess that when you get older, nostalgia and sentiment take over. Sigh.

Great photos, gentlemen.

Ron

Amen.

Ron, the tree-lined streets are in an area of Sacramento known as the fabulous forties -41st St. through about 48th. The trees and the homes are a part of the city's history. I drive through there often, (we've done a number of jobs in the area)and I love to stop and take walks up one street and down the next. In the fall, it's almost breathtaking in real life.

Have a good holiday.

Old Michael, Great ride report!

Next time you drive or walk down 42nd street between Folsom and M look for a 07 FJR with stripes just like the Drs.

BTW my buddies and I are doing the same ride Saturday to Bodega and back through Stewarts Pt. Leaving Fox and Goose 8am.
