I went for a ride with Bungie this summer and thought his Spot Tracker was da' bomb! I'm looking for a GPS and I read that some units have a breadcrumb thingy that you can upload to something like google maps and people can see the same thing, just not in real time.
I keep googling & searching and can't find a word on the subject. I even downloaded the owners manual from Garmin on their new NUVI, which has 10000 breadcrumb 'capacity'. But there's ZERO mention in the manual!!!, their website or anywhere i can find.
My question is: If I bother picking a GPS for this feature, is posting a day's progress online something that's relatively quick & easy to do once a day? Or a giant pita? Can I plug my GPS into anyone's computer to do so or does it require software to be installed? (IE do I have to haul my laptop with me on long hauls, which would be a deal breaker)
EDIT - a link to some resource (like a f-ing complete owners manual) would be best, so I can read about it
