Grand Canyon - South Rim Trail - West

Tuesday we rode to our favorite place the Grand Canyon & hiked 6 miles on the south rim trail west. After arrival we rode out desert view Hwy east about 10 miles to Grand View Point, the southern most & one of the highest spots on the south rim.

We enjoyed the vistas and had lunch then a brief stop at duck on a rock viewpoint on the way back to the village to start our hike. Part 1 of my videos.....

I remember riding out of there with you, Duke and a couple of other riders.. I don't think he was use to being that close to the ground in the corners. RIP Duke

33 years ago, 1987. I did the mule ride down to the bottom on the Bright Angel Trail. An overnight stay at Phatom Ranch by the Colorado River which included a steak dinner. Then the next day back up the S Kaibob Trail. It was Awesome!
