Great Lakes Gold - Checked off the list

Since we can't watch the IBR with minute to minute updates this week (Not bitching, just stating) I thought some of you might find this mildly interesting.

This is the only Great Lakes ride I have done. Honestly, I don't plan on doing any other ones, since the ride was kind of boring.

Pretty much ALL of the pictures I took are in the report. Other than that there just wasn't that much to see.

The photo of the cop cracks me up. I wonder if anyone else has taken his picture after he wrote them a ticket.

Yeah. I'm usually in a hurry to get out of the situation but photographing the LEO seems to be common among the motorcycle-riding, forum-posting crowd. I have yet to do it but wonder what the line is to get the LEO to pose. Also, I wonder what is the percentage of LEO's that decline? Makes for interesting ride reports, though!

Like I said int he report, while he wasn't quite nice enough to let me off completely, he cut the ticket down to the point it was only $54.00 out of my pocket, and more importantly treated me with the same kind of respect I try to show to LEO's. He seemed like a genuinely good guy.
