My daddy said son

You're gonna drive me to drinkin'

If you don't stop drivin'

That hod rod Lincoln.

Gee whiz, Bob, there are so many. I usually try to include some at the end of a particularly acerbic posting.....Now you want me to THINK rather than react?

Gimme three steps

Gimme three steps mister and you'll never see me no more

He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.

Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs

and prays that he always will.

When we are young

Wandering the face of the Earth

Wondering what our dreams might be worth

Learning that we're only immortal

For a limited time

Here's the reason why I take the time NOW to do the things I want instead of waiting until later:

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking

And racing around to come up behind you again

The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older

Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

"But ya ought to thank me before I die,

For the gravel in your gut, and the spit in your eye.

Cause I'm the son-of-a-bitch that named you Sue.

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days

And the people I meet always go their separate ways

Sometimes you tell the day

By the bottle that you drink

And times when you're all alone all you do is think

I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride

I'm wanted dead or alive

Wanted dead or alive

She was buns-up kneelin'

I was wheelin' and dealin'

She surrendered to the feelin'

And started into squealin'

One assumes you are refering to favorite lyrics as they might apply to motorcycling (as opposed to "mood" music or "hymns & praise" music. How about:

"'Round, 'round, git around...I git a-round..." (The Beach Boys)

Or, for Mr. Smooth or while riding any twisty back road:

"Well now they call me the breeze....I keep rollin' down the road....

I've got a green light, baby...I gotta keep movin' on...." (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

"1952 Vincent Black Lightning" - Richard Thompson

Said Red Molly to James that's a fine motorbike

A girl could feel special on any such like

Said James to Red Molly, well my hat's off to you

It's a Vincent Black Lightning, 1952

And I've seen you at the corners and cafes it seems

Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme

And he pulled her on behind

And down to Box Hill they did ride

Said James to Red Molly, here's a ring for your right hand

But I'll tell you in earnest I'm a dangerous man

I've fought with the law since I was seventeen

I robbed many a man to get my Vincent machine

Now I'm 21 years, I might make 22

And I don't mind dying, but for the love of you

And if fate should break my stride

Then I'll give you my Vincent to ride

Come down, come down, Red Molly, called Sergeant McRae

For they've taken young James Adie for armed robbery

Shotgun blast hit his chest, left nothing inside

Oh, come down, Red Molly to his dying bedside

When she came to the hospital, there wasn't much left

He was running out of road, he was running out of breath

But he smiled to see her cry

And said I'll give you my Vincent to ride

Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Beats a 52 Vincent and a red headed girl

Now Nortons and Indians and Greeveses won't do

They don't have a soul like a Vincent 52

He reached for her hand and he slipped her the keys

He said I've got no further use for these

I see angels on Ariels in leather and chrome

Swooping down from heaven to carry me home

And he gave her one last kiss and died

And he gave her his Vincent to ride

Excellent Ari Rankum.

How could this one have been missed?

Lou Reed - New Sensations

Talkin bout some new sensations

Talkin a new sensations

I took my FJR out for a ride

The engine felt good between my thighs

The air felt cool, its was forty degrees outside

I rode to pennsylvania near the delaware gap

Sometimes I got lost and had to check the map

I stopped at a roadside diner for a burger and a coke

There were some country folk and some hunters inside

Somebody got themselves married and somebody died

I went to the juke box and played a hillbilly song

They was arguing about football as I waved and went outside

And I headed for the mountains feeling warm inside

I love that FJR so much, you know that I could kiss her

What?
