Great Ride Through The Canadian Rockies On 05 FJR

Hello All,

I just finished 4 fantastic days of riding the Canadian Rockies on my 05 FJR.

My friend was supposed to come with me on his new 08 HD Road king but it broke down and was in the shop.

I feel bad for him because its been in the shop 5 times since May and it only has 8KM on it.

I have some great pictures of the FJR in the mountains and I will gladly show you if anyone can tell me how to accomplish this.

The pic's are on my laptop.

Do I need to have them uploaded to a website first?

I think there's a pinned post in the FAQ section about posting pictures. Basically you're hosting them somewhere else & providing a link on this site so we can 'see' (link to) them.

There are four of us going up there starting Labor Day weekend. We are getting excited for it to get here. I hate to see summer go bye to quickly though!

Hello All...I have some great pictures ...The pic's are on my laptop.Do I need to have them uploaded to a website first?

and after you do upload them - resize/downsize them to 600x800, or 480x600, so they load up fast.

There will be an option at the photosite to do this.

The large photos we all take now are too big for friendly surfers...

Thanks WinnipegTechGuy! We are spending the day in Portland but I guess you already know that... We should bein Vicotria tomorrow for a few day. W are having the time of our lives!

I was thinking the same thing as Winnipeg. Very cool link! McRidin, many of us upload to PhotoBucket, then just copy the "direct link" and paste it into the spot provided when you click on the "insert image" button that's just above the text box you're typing in when you're composing a message (the buttons to the right of the smiley face dropdown box). Pretty simple. Make sure you see Moraine Lake--real near Lake Louise and well worth a side trip. For that matter, see EVERYTHING! Feeling a bit envious here. How I'd love to be riding an FJR up the Glacier Parkway right now instead of sitting here typing!

He could have 8 kilometers on the bike and have had it into the shop 5 times. Could happen. If he never made it to the corner stop sign on any one ride and then trailered it back and forth to the shop from where it broke down each time. It's possible. I believe the guy. Why not? In fact, I'm sure of it. I read it on the internet, after all.
