Hi,

I've gotten the parts for my front end rebuild from GP Suspension in Oregon, but I've not received my Penske shock, and when I call them, they're very vague about what's actually happening (Oh, we expect them this week; they're building them as fast as they can). Has anybody actually gotten a Penske ordered during the group buy? If so, I'll just wait longer, but I want to be sure it's actually happening.

I'm sure they are working on it. There were A LOT of orders from the group buy. Just give them some more time, I highly highly highly doubt there will be any issues. I didn't even receive contact from them for like 2 weeks, but everything turned out fine.

In their defense, this is Penske's busiest time of the year...the weeks inbetween Christmas and the start of the racing season. It's a really cool operation that I was lucky enough to tour. They hand assemble each shock to riders specs then put it on the shock dyno before it gets sent out the door.

Thanks. Not attacking, so no need to defend. I just want to know the status. It's been a while.

Got mine first week in January. Dave had said that Penske was very busy then.

My 8983 came with my forks a few weeks ago, but I was probably one of the early ones.

Got the shock with the forks as others have written. A couple weeks ago.....total turnaround was about 3 weeks. I know Dave would have the shock in your hands if he had it; but it never hurts to check occassionally. Look on the bright side -- you aren't in on a Skyway group buy.

I got tired of waiting and cancelled the rear shock order so I could get the bike reassembled. They did my forks rather quickly though. Not his fault if he can't get them out of Penske fast enough. That the part I don't understand.
