As I stepped through the pictures I was watching the guy with the pillion in the brown jacket and cheering for them to stay upright. Looks like they did.

I don't understand how it took so long for the guys in the back to catch on that something was wrong. I mean, some of the guys up front were already off their bikes and sitting on the guard rail while others were still falling down.

Hope there were no serious injuries.

My thoughts exactly.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons that it is suggested that one large group be broken up into several smaller groups. :eh:

The FJR stayed upright and at least up to the last pic, unscathed.
Yeah... I noticed that too. I thought the large guy behind him (tag 0602) was going to high-side into them while they were pulled over. You see his back tire smoking in the 7th pic, but somehow he ends up tangling with the bike that was 4 or 5 lengths back... the one with the skanky-haired pillion (8th pic). I'm not sure about the 13th pic... was that in sequence?... and do these people have sloth-like reactions?

There is a photo missing. I D/L'd all of them so I could see them better and the sequence jumps over a number from 12 to 13. Whadda mess. Wish it had been video'd instead of photo'd.

Reaction time? I think many of the riders were doing an impersonation of ibsunburnt's avatar

- head up *** enjoying beautiful fall day on hiway with many other comrads on bikes -

- OH ****!!! -

Most of the falls don't look too serious, but likely many injurys from following bikes pileing on.

Did you see all the AE license plates? No electric shift for me or linked brakes. ;)

What I thought was amazing was the guy in the back wiping out for no apparent reason and taking out more folks as he nurfed it. Looks like over reaction to what was happening up front.

Yet another reason not to group ride.

Probably a checkpoint/roadblock. On a Russian group ride its always a good idea to put the roadblock runners up front. :D

Wow.

Some really weird stuff going on there... I'd understand all this happening if they were coming out of an underground passage (tunnel or such) and couldn't see the fallen riders ahead until it was too late. And going faster than they should, too.

It only takes one mistake with that many riders to cause all of that trauma!!!
