Well, not really fondue....unless I suddenly say, "I like cheese."

Starting with OrangevaleFJR and wine:

Question: Can we bring our own wine to the hotel meeting rooms? If so, it would be a LOT cheaper to buy wine in California and bring it there and a forum member that has to make that drive quite a bit has volunteered to bring and store multiple cases of wine. It might be nice to have a wine reception the first night.
In a short answer, No.

It seems the Utah Legislature changed the law several years ago about bringing wine. One can still do it in a restaurant, but they cannot do it in a banquet area. Bummer. Since it does not appear at all to be a hotel policy issue, let me suggest we drop it with the hotel and if a couple of people sneak in a few bottles--we probably won't have a problem.

It's either that or Camelbaks ;)

Box Lunches

TWN asked about an option for lunches of folks that want to do it. They do have the option and he's going to e-mail me details. Not cheap at $15.95 but maybe some folks will want that as they ride off into the wilds of the Utah countryside during the day. I'm thinking we put it on the website as a checkmark to check if interested and if they do we'll give them instructions how to get them from the hotel when they get there.

Banquets

They're finalizing a changed menu that was last updated in 2005. I'm guessing it will be mostly about price. It's going to be about a week before it comes.

Bummer. So, this bodes well then for Jack and Don Felipe? :happysmiley:

Still, figuring a decent lunch afield, that ain't a bad price when you figger in tips and time/fuel spent locating an eatery. Further, given the local(s), it might be nice to pull up a rock and dine in scenic glory.
