Hey, ladies and germs,

I thought I read somewhere (no, I can't find it) that you don't

need to take all the fairings off to install the sliders, but on the

FJRTech.com site, it says to take off all of the fairings (even the

front, if I read that correctly) and unplug the connector to the

turn signals.

It also said to allow 2 (two) hours to do this...do I really need to

spend this much time to do what I perceive as being kind of an easy

farkle? TWO HOURS?

Holy smoke, I need to re-evaluate my time today. Sheesh! :thumbsdownsmileyanim:

You need to take the lowers off to install the bracket. You don't need to drill through the lowers, though. I did mine in less than 2hrs, and I'm a complete idiot with a wrench.

If you've ever had the lower plastic off before, than this job should take less than two hours (as long as you have the correct tools). It took me just over an hour, and I even kicked a handful of connectors across the garage because I was an idiot and didn't place them in a container on the bench.

If you've got an '06, it's a 3 minute job - remove two bolts, install two sliders. No fairing removal required.

Hey,

Thanks, guys, I'll block in the time sometime tomorrow.

Thanks for the taking the time to reply. :D

Put Moko's on my '04 a couple of months ago. Yes you do have to remove the lowers but they can just dangle from the trun signal wire - no need to disconnect. It took me about 30-40 minutes to complete the job. Then - I bought some aluminum slider pucks from Skyway instead of the black Moko's - and it looks great. You can see my pictures in FJR Vendors under Moko Sliders. Have fun -
