Dang, here we go again....but glad as others said your ok and on the mend as is the bike. Also as mentioned a good idea to go to the hospital after the crash. My son was a passenger in a cage wreck a few years ago and he seemed ok at the crash, but did the smart thing and loaded him up in an ambulance and it was a good thing we did because his back was broken and didn't even know it at the time. Thanks PM. While I didn't got to the hospital, I have been to the Doc a few times and have had X-rays taken. I'm pretty much back to 100%. Sorry to hear about your son though, good thing he got checked out indeed.

Glad you came out fine. Frustrating to have to wait so long to get her back. I wouldn't want to ride anything with a cracked swingarm. :dribble:

New Update. A fresh, shiny set of new holeshots was on my doorstep when I got home today. The packaging was excellent, major props to Dale Walker and Co.
I'm also finally getting somewhere with the freaking insurance company as well. Spoke with two different people yesterday and now know where everything went wrong. On the upside, they two are also making a lot of headway on getting things set straight. I've already gotten a call back since my first conversations with these two and the supliment check infromation for the swingarm has been located and processed. They are going to ship the cheak directly to the dealer that has my bike to cut down on any time it would take for me to cash it and then get the dealer the money.
I'll be taking the holeshots to the dealer after work and then I will hopefully find out if the swingarm is to arrive on the 8th or if that was just when it would ship to the dealer from mamma yamaha. Once I know that, I know if I stand to get the bike back before I have to leave for a week on business or not.

Thank's a lot for those pictures! Nothing cements my belief in full-face helmets more than seeing one that worked. I have two in my garage. I still can't get over folks that don't wear them. One Hardley guy's excuse was:

Glad you're OK and it sounds like your getting your cash. One question though it may not any be any of my bidness: Why is your insurance company paying you? Seems like the other guy's should be. Are your rates going to increase as a result of his mistake?
Also, cagers are all kinds of problems but I agree with an early post about how the guy was taking care of you and accepting responsibility. Great generation that was. When I first read this I figured the driver would be trying to get out of it. I remember a vid (from a camera on the bike) that I saw of a biker that got hit by some nut job that suddenly and without signaling crossed three lanes of rush hour traffic to make a exit. He hit the bike then, on video, was claiming that the bike hit him. Screwed-up world we live in now so at least you didn't have issue to deal with.

Sthames - thanks man, I'm good, latest word is the FJR should be ready on Friday.
Pappy - Yup, I'm good thx. The issue with the insurance is that the driver that hit me and I both have the same insurance company. Which logic would dictate should make things easier and smoother, but it's just the opposite. Also, the real salt in the wound was that yea, the older gent was very concerned at the accident site, but then denied liability to our insurnace company. This has been the source of so many problems for me. I'd like to think that the older gent didn't want to pull that move and that he was convinced by some outside source, but I can't know for sure. Still, I don't wish him any ill-will, but I've certainly found that being honest in this case has caused me nothing but problems.
Reguardless, I'm trudgin through. I've replaced my helmet & jacket. Just need to replace the boots and gloves and get the bike back. I just want the whole ordeal behind me so I can get back on the road.

Finally I have my bike back. Dealer called around noon and let me know that it's ready to roll and ready to come home. unk:
So after looking over the bike for about 20min and chatting with the Mechanic, I went for a short trip around the block, came back, shook hands and promptly took back off. 70 miles later, she's back at home and I have a smile that goes from ear to ear.
Everything on the bike works exactly as it should, nothing is loose, all the plastic lines up just like it did before and the new set of holeshots sounds better then I remember. It's a good day.

Congrats! I'm glad that your bike is back and good as new - the last thing you deserved would have been problem with the repair job.

No problems what so ever. Have to give some serious credit to the crew at Bartow Power Sports. They were up front about everything, kept me updated and did a slam up job. I plan on swinging back by there tomorrow and bring those guy's some breakfast.

+1 on getting those mechanics breakfast, after what you stated they have done for you!!! I highly commend you for thinking and doing something for them. Hopefully, sometime, somewhere, I would like to meet ya, sounds like your a real stand up guy and one I wouldn't be afraid to be associated with, Heck, most of the guys on this board seem like this too!!!!

Glad to hear that you are OK and that you are back on the road. I had the same kind of situation in a minor cage accident, where I was responsible for the accident (with another cage). I accepted responsibility on the scene, but was not cited by police. When I went to my insurance agent to let him know that I had accepted responsibility, and there would be someone contacting him to make a claim, he went ballistic. He kept telling me to never admit responsibility, and always dispute the claim. Well I didn't take his advise, and moved all of my policies from him to another provider and told him to F*** off. I have been on the other side of that story, and had someone recant their story after talking to their agent, and it really is a big PITA. I think that many agents can get people to believe that "that is how the game is played" and they will do anything not to pay up. So always try and get someone else to give a statement if you can, or even the most contrite appearing person could reverse course later.
OK rant over.
Anyway, glad you are OK, and everything worked out.

Rockabill, I certainly understand what your saying. In the case of my accident, the older gnet was ticketed, the Officer that wrote the ticket was also a witness and gave a statement, as well as 3 other witnesses. So I don't know how he was able to deny liability in the first place, but it doesn't much matter now.
It does suck though. I've also accepted liability for a minor accident where no one was ticketed. My daughter backed out of a space and the same time as the car behind her. Neither saw each other and they met in the middle. Cop couldn't write a ticket, but it was obvious my daughter started backing out after the other person and that she just didn't look well enough before moving. It happens.
