Handlebar grips

Hi ,

I want to replace the standard handlebar grips on my 07.

This bike has as standard,heated grips,am Iright in thinking that the heater elements are inside the bars,and I would not damage anything by removing

the grips in the normal way. I did a search on this sobject but could not find anything previously posted. Thanks.

I believe that the heat elements are in the GRIPS not in the BARS -- so you would be doing away with the heat elements by removing the grips.

More knowledgeable minds will no doubt chime in.

Usually, the heating elements are between the grips and the bars. Don't know about the OEM's though.

The heating elements are embeded in the grips on the AE. You cannot change the grips without losing the heating elements. I addressed the small size of the factory grips with grip puppies and have been very happy with them.
