Harley riders aging, Goldwing riders getting younger

I don't mean to get personal with anyone but it has been my observation that harley riders are getting ancient. Bald heads with ponytails and braided beards to portray whatever. I also see more and more young people (35 and up) getting the goldwing because it is an awesome bike and maybe the harley mystique is finally fading. What do you think. Everett

I think there is almost never an FJR thread on a Harley forum. People obsess and dwell on them too much on non-Harley forums.

At age-18, I owned a BMW R60/5, boxer engine with big ugly horizontally opposed cylinders, shaft drive and Lufmeister fairing. Never have fit "the mold", although I'm sure I have some mold growing on me somewhere!

Harley riders around here average under-35 (almost all Marines, except for Beal).

You hardly ever see a GW. I'm always the oldest fart in every toys or poker run at age-46.

The reason you never see posts about other brands on HD forums is because they are too busy cleaning up oil spills and polishing well... their chrome!

I think Odot is busy watching the Oscars and getting all excited about Ellen Degeneres, or else he would be posting on HD forums, just to prove all the assumptions wrong.

yup - I've noticed the same - HD riders are maturing. Thing is, since more and more of us are getting to that magic 50+ category they just keep buying their bikes.

Love my Harley, still have hair, 50 revolutions around the sun later. Oh, love BMW's, Cagivas, ATK's, Kawasakis.. if it has a motor and two wheels it's ALL good. Sure, the boomer's are aging. They also have cash to spend on toys...

Oh yea, there are several HD owners on the board and many others IMO that haven't come out of the closet yet or are wanabe's...I've been truly blessed. Got my lowrider cruiser and my high ridin rocket ship. PM. <>< :lol:
