Has anyone regretted selling their FJR?

First time owner with my 2014A and it will be a cold day in heck before I would ever consider selling it (unless I become incapable of riding motorcycles).

I miss my FJR something fierce. I sold mine in 2015 and when I went to get a new FJR this summer I was reminded by Casandra why I sold my 2010. And then, when I couldn't get the bike off of the side stand for a test ride, well no more FJR's for me. Still happy with the many visits to La Crosse, Taos and La Pine and other placess that my Sliver Bullet provided me with absolutely worry free. I still ride, just not FJRs.

And it was a pleasure meeting and riding with you in LaCrosse at my first FJR event. Some day I hope we meet up again.

I would (miss it) if I did (sold it), but not selling (it) so I don't (miss it). Seriously, I don't know of a better all around bike for my needs. If I sold my '14ES, it would be to buy a newer one...in about 5 years from now when I have about 150k miles on the odometer.

I emailed him. Not 100% sure I am ready to pull the trigger but taking a hard look. Seems like such a great deal, might be hard to pass it up. As much as I may enjoy a 16/17 with the added features, I have been riding old bikes for the better part of the last 6-7 years, barring one late model Harley (they all ride the same though) so I am thinking a new 15' FJR will likely feel like a starship to me. : )
@SD1: I forgot to mention that Yamaha is offering 3.99% interest for 36 months until 10/31/16. You can't finance a used bike for that low rate (at least not in Phoenix). I love my new 2015!

Yep for sure.....traded it in on a 1900 Stratoliner, hated that.....sold it, found the person who bought my former 2003 FJR and he planned on trading it for a side-by-side, we came to a deal.....my girl is back home where she belongs with only (500kms)....yes 500kms on it since the last time I owned it. Couldn't be happier. Moral to the storey, you don't know what you have until it's gone.

Well, my first opportunity to ride an FJR was a 2003 that a buddy of mine had when I helped him install an Audiovox Cruise Control unit on it. Had to test ride it, you know. Several times in fact (fine tuning, safety testing, blah, blah, blah). This was maybe ten years ago or so and it was obvious that this was going to be a motorcycle I would aspire to own one day.

At the time I was all Kawasaki (C10 Concours, etc.). Once the Gen IIIs were announced, that moved me within one step of committing, the only thing they needed to do was change the color (to Candy Red, or course). They did, I pounced and almost three years later all is well...

Yup missing my 04. Currently riding a 2000 Triumph Sprint 955. Its lots of fun actually feels a lot like the Fjr minus about 100lbs. No luggage tho. I will eventually find a used gen 3

I sold my fjr and regret it, I have two cruisers now and that is one too many. Will have to keep the cruisers for a while but when finances permit I will be one less cruiser and get a fjr again. It just does everything so well. I keep my eye out for other bikes that might work like adventure bikes and the such or other sport touring bikes but I know what I had and I will get it back.

I regret selling my 06 with only 135,000 miles. I did get a 14ES right away and it is at 60,000 miles and is an awesome bike. But I could of kept riding my 06 and waited for the 6 speed and slipper clutch. My nephew is still riding the 06 and it's running strong. Oh well, still have a cool FJR. And it's red.

Red is a good color.

I am waiting for a burgundy or dark red. Can you imagine? Dark red, six speed, slipper clutch, led lights, and -- dare I say it -- automatic turn signal canceler. If and when this bike comes out, I will trade my 2015 FJR for it. Until then, my charcoal grey FJR in Sports mode keeps me very well entertained!

Yes.....traded my 2011 on a Jeep, sold the jeep and bought a 2102 GW, sold the GW and now have the best motorcycle I have ever owned.2015 FJR1300es !!!!!!
Question: what made you come back frmm the GW, from my understanding, they aren't as fast but they are comfy as hell.
