I was just going to start a thread saying have a fun and safe WFO when I see somebody beat me to it (no comments about beating ODOT )

Seriously, it sounds like like fun and I wish I could go.

But as soon as all you happy guys and gals tell us about this one, let me know when it is appropriate to plan for next year........I need lots of lead time (months) to get time off.

Love my memories of Reno and I'm sure you'll have fun.

Yeah, the waiting sucks. I have to work a couple more days, like that's going to hold my attention! At leat I can beat WC out of the gate and leave early Wed morning, even though it's a shorter ride for me.

I'm staying off the slab as much as possible though. I-5 had some closures due to fires and smoke, but it's just too boring when I can head east over to K-falls, then drop down to 395 and slide right into Reno on more enjoyable roads.

I disagree. For me, anticipation and preperation is part of the fun. Maybe I'm wired differently, but all too often the event itself is the beginning of my dread of the return to the same 'ol same 'ol. Well, I am wired differently, way differently, but that's beside the point....... :blink:

Sorry, but I can't ever envision travelling to the midwest or further for a bike-based get-together. Too many great roads out west here that I haven't travelled. I sure could get behind going to see and ride The Rockies though (or anywhere north of California). We head out in two days (two day stop in Mammoth)!

Poor guy! Are you going to be forced to ride OR Hwy 66 to K-Falls? :glare: Unless you really have to make time, you could ride 139 down to Susanville.

Uhm....I think the plan is to rotate the "National Meet" around to different regional Owners Meets.

He's bringing someone who fell and is injured (not on the bike) but can't ride or drive. It's a good thing...details in Reno!
