That really does look like a great chunk of asphalt. Where abouts would that be Cindi? Any more pictures of that ride?

Hmmm....I see Cindi has not responded yet. I found a Hawks Nest State Park in West Virginia during an internet search...the same?

Great pics; we'll have to see what she says; but I wanna know how those little skunk feet work the shifter! ;)

Hawks Nest is near Port Jervis NY on Rte. 97 its awesome and loaded with bikes on weekends, Cindi, I am in Middletown, lets ride sometime, I have a 03.

I see Cindy has responded where Hawk's nest is - rode that back in the early 90's on a CBR600 - they used to shoot a lot of car comercials on it - remember that BMW in particular liked do their ads there. Some great roads from there over into the Pocono's and then down the Delaware water gap. Not good in Jan/Feb though.

:D

As stated by someone else, Hawk's Nest is on RT #97 in NY, starting not far from Port Jervis. I usually ride it from Port Jervis to Hancock, NY

There use to be a restaurant along the cliff called Hawk's Nest and used to be a real attraction for all local bikes. Sadly it burnt a couple years ago and they didn't rebuild it. The sign still stands and one of these days I'm planning on another photo taken there. There are some other neat attractions along the route otherwise it's just a nice pleasant ride.

Here are a couple more links that you might find interesting.

Side step for a moment.....Hawks Nest State Park in WV is worth a trip as well.....now back to the regularly scheduled thread.

Nice car hauler coming at you in the second pic. That would make a mess of ya if you go wide on a turn. Great pics though.

The cliffs wouldn't be too forgiving if you ran into them either...them darn cliffs. I hate hitting them things. :D
