Roger Lee will be filling in for the injured (broken tib/fib) Randy De Puniet at Laguna Seca on the LCR Honda.

Well at least he will be on a competitive machine for the first time in a while. Hopefully he has the mental game to go with it.

You know how refreshing it is to hear an educated comment rather than the common and uninformed response commenting on his less than stellar results this year? So-called 'fans' can't seem to grasp the fact that he's basically on a superstock spec bike on a low-budget team running against the best of the best on the best of the best.

I think he's doing a great job this year. He's learning the tracks. He's getting the most that he can out of the bike that he's on. He doesn't give up. If you look at his lap analysis, you can tell early on how much time he is giving up per lap. For the most part, he holds that per-lap deficit throughout the race and doesn't let up or back off, regardless of what position he's in.

Phew! Dodged a bullet by getting in late to this thread.
c'mon now...don't sell yourself short. I know better.

Early on in their careers, some thought that RLH was the most talented of the bunch. Not quite sure he will be able to live up to those expectations at this point, but, if you sit back and look at what this family has accomplished, it's pretty remarkable.

Nicky - AMA Supersport Champion, AMA Superbike Champion, and MotoGP World Champion

Tommy - 2x AMA Supersport Champion and multi-time AMA Superbike race winner

Roger Lee - AMA Supersport Champion, has finished in the top-10 in a MotoGP race as a wildcard rider, will be riding as a backup at Laguna in MotoGP and will be riding a wildcard Moto2 bike at Indy

All 3 are also successful flat-track racers at the national level. There was once a race where all 3 of them were on the podium in the same race.

Remember the good old days at Nelson Ledges Randy?

90 or 91 I think?

Yeah, I was surprised he took such an uncompetitive ride. But I think there is more behind the scenes going on and maybe this is just a step to another ride in a year or two that was part of the deal.

I would really like to see him get out from under his brothers shadows and show what he can really do. Just needs the right equipment.

There were never good old days at Nelson except for the 24 hrs :) But, yes...remember them well. Pretty sure that pic was from '92, but, could be wrong.
Exactly....I consider the good old days up until 93 & the last 24 hour. ;)
