Headed to TN on Friday

Leaving NY on Friday 6/23 1700 and look to be in Nashville on 6/24 1800. Will leave 1300 6/25 and start heading east towards the TN / NC border. Any points of interest that way? I haven't been to the Gap or 421 in a couple of years and wouldn't mind going again. Anyone willing to ride slow enough while I'm on my FJR would be appreciated!

A party of us are heading out there first week of August.... They've been there before, this will be my first time on the tail. Looking forward to it as the route includes the tail, BRP and more.

421 was pave a year or two ago, and is a nice ride right now. 321 between Elizabethton and Boone also.

I live in Johnson City.

I've got an old friend in Asheville. Every time I ride down, I see that Johnson City sign and just start to chuckle. I also find Buncombe County funny, but only because I mis-pronounce it bun-COM-bee.
